How to access the featured collections

The National Library of Scotland and the Library of the University of Edinburgh welcome researchers wishing to consult any of the material mentioned in this resource.

You can consult National Library of Scotland material in the Special Collections Reading Room in the NLS George IV Bridge Building in Edinburgh.

To find out how to order material in advance of a visit, request copies of items, or submit other enquiries, visit the National Library’s pages on using the library.

You can consult material from the Library of the University of Edinburgh in the Centre for Research Collections, which also handles enquiries and reprographic requests relating to these collections. If you are not a member of the Library of the University Edinburgh, please contact the CRC in advance of your visit.

About this resource

The University Edinburgh and the National Library of Scotland have developed the 'Shakespeare collected' resource as part of a collaborative project entitled, 'The relevance of the major Scottish collections of printed Renaissance drama to the cultural history and contemporary reception of Shakespeare'.

The Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Museums and Galleries Programme funded this resource.
